Writer's pictureNancy, the Empathic Organizer

Welcoming a new year, new habits, open space

As this interesting and sad year comes to an end, we can also see it as a beginning.

It is an opportunity to give yourself a gift of making the most of your surroundings.

Those of us lucky enough to have a roof over our head and food to eat along with our health possess the ability to plan a new start where we control our space rather than the other way round.

Corralling our home or office environment can be done hands on or virtually through the miracle of the internet. It all depends on how you feel most comfortable working. And yes, it is work. It means discipline and commitment but the rewards make it all worthwhile.

Some of us need help getting started. Others require a gentle guidance during the process and some can just get on with it without assistance.

It's a good time to consider how you can begin the beginning of your journey towards more space, less stuff.

Remember you don't have to tackle this alone. There are people who can make the path to a place where you can find what you are looking for without pain and suffering, who can encourage your desire to free up and let go and who understand how difficult and dusty the archeological dig can be.

It can also be satisfying and energizing in a lot of ways you will see. So think about what you will need and think of this empathic organizer as a resource for yourself or someone you love as 2021 edges closer. Next year can be better.
